His expertise spans founding the International Ruminant Industry Leadership (IRIL), consulting on cross-border trade partnerships, feedlot project development and operations, and business mentoring for farmers and entrepreneurs. Olanz has driven large-scale livestock initiatives in collaboration with governments, investors, and communities, strengthening regional food security and value chain resilience.
Dr. Zharif Ramli
Expert in Livestock Breeding &
Ruminant Production
Dr. Zharif possesses over a decade of experience in livestock breeding and farm management, specialising in cattle, goats, sheep, and poultry. As a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), he focuses on improving reproductive efficiency, genetic quality, and farm management for ruminants. His key strengths include livestock farm operations, breeding program design, reproductive & feeding strategies, and extension program & farmer training. He works closely with various Malaysian stakeholders like DVS, FELDA, PERHEBAT, MARDI, and Unit Agropreneur Muda (UAM) to support farmers.
